1. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Data
DA Clinic Myeongdong collects and uses personal data for the purposes below. Collected data is not used for any purpose other than those stated, and if the purpose of use changes, we will take the necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent.
- Booking appointments and receiving consultation requests
- Verifying patient identity and providing medical services
- Delivering notices and handling complaints
2. Personal Data We Collect
- Required: name, contact details
- Optional: consultation details, preferred appointment date
3. Retention and Use Period
As a rule, personal data is destroyed without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. However, where retention is required by applicable law, the data is retained for the period prescribed.
- Online consultation records: 1 year after the consultation is completed
- Medical records: 10 years, as required by the Medical Service Act of Korea
4. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties
As a rule, DA Clinic Myeongdong does not provide patients’ personal data to outside parties. The following are exceptions.
- Where the patient has given prior consent
- Where required under the provisions of law, or upon request by an investigative authority
5. Destruction of Personal Data
Once the purpose of collecting and using personal data has been achieved, the data is destroyed without delay. Data held as electronic files is deleted using technical means that render the records irrecoverable.
6. Rights of the Data Subject
Patients and their legal representatives may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of their registered personal data.
