PRP Treatment

Autologous regenerative care that draws on growth factors from your own blood

PRP at DA Clinic Myeongdong

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is an autologous regenerative procedure that draws about 10–20 cc of the patient's own blood, separates red blood cells in a centrifuge to extract the platelet-rich plasma layer, and injects it into the skin. Various growth factors contained in platelets (PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF and more) support tissue recovery and collagen regeneration.

A single-use sterile blood collection kit and a closed-system centrifuge are used so that the blood is not exposed to outside air. The process is carried out in-house from blood draw through separation and injection, and the used kit is immediately disposed of as medical waste.

It is used for indications including acne scars, enlarged pores, fine lines, and recovery of hollow skin. Because autologous blood is used, the risk of allergy or rejection is low, providing a procedure with assured safety.

Key effects of PRP

01

Lower risk of allergy or rejection with autologous blood

02

Gradual improvement of acne scars and uneven texture

03

Refinement of enlarged pores

04

Supportive recovery for fine lines and hollow skin

05

Can be combined with other procedures (MTS, lasers)

01

Natural regeneration based on autologous blood

Because growth factors are extracted from the patient's own blood, the risk of allergy or rejection from foreign substances is very low. The autologous components act on the damaged dermis, stimulating collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration.

02

Single-use closed system

A single-use sterile blood collection kit and a closed centrifuge tube are used. Blood is separated and extracted without exposure to outside air, minimising the risk of contamination.

03

Performed directly by the Medical Director

The entire process of blood collection, centrifugation, and injection is performed in-house. Because no external personnel are involved, both patient information protection and procedural safety are ensured at the same time.

04

A range of clinical applications

Applied to acne scars, enlarged pores, fine lines, and the recovery of depleted skin. The treatment area and number of sessions are designed according to each patient's skin condition.

Treatment flow

Consultation and blood-volume planning

The required blood volume (typically 10–20 cc) is determined according to the treatment area and indication.

Blood draw with a single-use kit

Venous blood is collected using a single-use sterile kit.

Closed-system centrifugation

The sample is centrifuged in a closed tube for approximately 10 minutes to separate the platelet-rich plasma layer.

Micro-injection after anaesthesia

After applying topical anaesthetic cream, the PRP is delivered evenly into the treatment area using microneedles or an injector.

Cooling, soothing, and session guidance

We soothe the skin with a cooling mask and typically schedule three sessions at 4–6 week intervals.

Recovery Process

Immediately after

Mild redness and swelling may appear at the injection site, typically settling within 1–2 hours.

Days 1–3

Some sensitivity may be felt; hydration-focused care is recommended.

Weeks 4–6

Collagen regeneration begins, and gradual refinement of skin texture and tone may appear.

After 3 cumulative sessions

Clearer improvement in acne scars, pores, and fine lines may be observed as a cumulative effect.

Results and recovery vary from person to person.

Devices at DA Clinic Myeongdong

Diagnostic

Eve V

An AI-based multi-spectral facial imaging analyser. Five structured-light cameras capture a 3D facial image in about 25 seconds and quantitatively analyse around 30 parameters including wrinkles, pigmentation, pores and redness, providing before-and-after reference data.

Body Composition & PRP

Novastem

A kit and separation system for PRP (autologous platelet-rich plasma) procedures. Sterile blood collection through centrifugal separation is handled in a single workflow to reduce contamination risk.

After-care Precautions

01

Avoid saunas, steam rooms and strenuous exercise for 24 hours after the procedure.

02

Fine redness or swelling at the injection site may occur and typically subsides within 1–3 days.

03

Hydration-focused basic care is recommended; please refrain from irritating active ingredients for 1 week.

04

Applying sunscreen daily is essential to prevent pigmentation.

05

Please inform us in advance if you are taking anticoagulants or have a blood disorder.
