Mole removal

Spot removal

A small spot you want removed—first, we check what kind of lesion it is.
We examine the shape, size, and depth and discuss the removal method. If it has changed recently, please also tell us how it has changed over time.

Before Treatment, Did You Have These Concerns?

“It’s just a small spot—can I remove it right away?”

Even if it looks like a spot on the surface, the type of lesion may be different. If the color or shape has changed, or if there has been bleeding, diagnosis comes first rather than cosmetic removal.

Explore based on my concerns

We look at the size of the spot and any changes together.

The removal method and recovery process vary depending on the area and the condition of the lesion.

Removal consultation

A spot that has been bothering you for a while

We examine the location, size, whether it is raised, and how deep it is, and explain the expected scar and recovery.

Please check together

Even if the size is the same, treatment may need to be repeated or a different removal method may be needed depending on the depth.

The scope of the procedure and suitability are determined after consultation.

Understanding the Treatment

We check the lesion before removing a mole.

Lesions that look like moles can be different types. We assess the shape and pattern of change to determine whether cosmetic removal is appropriate or whether additional diagnosis should come first.

Wound care and recovery vary depending on the removal method and depth. Rather than predicting the outcome by size or number alone, we also consider the possibility of scarring, color changes, residual tissue, or recurrence when making a decision.

DA’s Treatment Plan

It continues from diagnosis to wound care.

DA reviews, one by one, the lesion you want removed and the actual area to be removed.

See the Actual Process
Check how the shape has changed

If there are changes such as rapid growth, irregular color or borders, bleeding, or itching, diagnosis takes priority over cosmetic removal.

Explain the scope of the method and the cost

We check the actual removal method and depth, the size and number to which the price applies, and the conditions for additional treatment.

Continues until the wound closes

We provide guidance through dressing, washing, and sun protection after the skin has healed. Retreatment for any remaining lesion is decided after recovery.

Understanding the Components

These are the three things to check before removal.

The mole removal fee in the cost guide is linked to the actual number and extent of the lesion.

Type and changes

A lesion you thought was a mole may be a different type. If you have previous photos or records showing changes, please bring them as well.

Size and depth

The visible size and the actual removal depth are not necessarily the same. Removing a deep lesion all at once may increase the risk of scarring.

Additional removal and care

At the beginning, check the timing and cost for addressing recurrence or residual lesions again, and whether dressing is included.

From Your Visit to Follow-up Checks

This is how the treatment progresses.

Preparation and recovery vary depending on the selected area and method. Please also let us know about any important schedules and your previous treatment experience.

  1. Lesion check

We assess whether cosmetic removal is appropriate by looking at the location, shape, color, and pattern of change.

  2. Determine the scope and method

We explain the number to be removed, the method, the possibility of recovery and scarring, and the total cost.

  3. Skin preparation

We prepare disinfection and any needed anesthesia or protection according to the chosen method.

  4. Removal in progress

Applied with consideration of the lesion’s type and depth. Lesions that require additional diagnosis are guided to a separate evaluation.

  5. Dressing and wound instructions

We explain removal methods, cleansing, and symptoms that require contact, and assess any remaining lesions after recovery.

What to Know Before and After Treatment

Please manage your skin like this after the procedure.

Dressing
Follow the prescribed wound care instructions and do not pick off scabs on your own.
Pigment care
Reduce UV exposure according to the wound-healing stage. Red marks and pigmentation may remain.
When medical care is needed
Please contact us if pain, redness, discharge, or bleeding worsens. Even after removal, if the same area changes again, it needs to be checked.

    FAQ

    Questions to Ask Before Deciding.

Will it go away in one treatment?

It varies depending on the type and depth of the lesion, and it may become visible again or require additional treatment.

Do you remove every mole with a laser?

Depending on the lesion, tests or another removal method may be needed. We first confirm this through a consultation.

What is the listed price for spot removal based on?

This is the item listed in the current fee schedule. Please confirm the criteria for application based on number, size, and depth, as well as any additional costs, during the consultation.

Do all moles get removed right away?

Some lesions require diagnosis or a biopsy first. Confirming the nature of the lesion takes priority over rapid removal.

If it doesn’t disappear in one session, is that a failure?

Depending on the type and depth, some may remain or recur. We decide on retreatment while considering recovery and the burden of scarring.

Results and recovery vary by individual, and all procedures carry a risk of side effects.
